Services Provided
WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition education (including breastfeeding promotion and support), and referrals to health and other social services to participants at no charge. WIC serves low income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk.

Purpose/Mission Statement
To safeguard the health of low-income women, infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating and referrals to health care.
Food, nutrition counseling and access to health services are provided to low-income women, and children under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, popularly known as WIC.

Income Standard- The State agency’s income standard cannot be more than 185% of the Federal poverty income guidelines.
